Privacy Policy

With your permission, we collect:

• Sign-in identifier — your Apple or Google user ID. We do not store your name or email address.
• Location — only while you use the app and only if you allow it, so the map can centre on you and show nearby vessels.
• Images — pictures you choose to upload from your camera or photo library.

We process the data above to run the service, manage your account, respond to support requests, and improve the app. We do not sell your data.

• Other users: content you post to public parts of the app — claimed boat information, messages, images — is visible to other users.
• Service providers: hosting, storage, and push-notification providers process data on our behalf under appropriate contracts.
• Business transfers: if Humeko is merged, sold, or restructured, data may be transferred to the successor under the same commitments.
• Legal obligations: we disclose data where required by law.

Your data is processed on servers operated by us or our service providers. Some of these may be outside your country. Where that happens, we use standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. When you delete your account, we promptly delete your personal data from live systems; short-lived backups are overwritten in the normal course.

If you are in the EEA (or a similar regime), you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights — including to delete your account — email info@humeko.com. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

AIS Social is not directed at children. You must be 18 or older to use the app. If we learn that we hold data of a minor, we delete it.

If we update this policy, we change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
